KIPO is going to introduce, for the first time in government bodies, "telecommuting examination system" in March next year.
According to a person concerned, KIPO is going to choose 50 to 100 examiners for operating the system, monitoring how it works as a trial, then reflecting the result from 2006 to all over the KIPO staff.

For the system, KIPO has already completed the modification of an article providing "telecommuting with telecommunication network" based on the article 30 of 'e-government act'.

It is worthy of notice that up-to-the-second technologies such as KIPOnet, GVPN and biometrics are used for setting up the system.

"For securing the reliability of the system, Government Virtual Private Network(GVPN) of Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, verification system based on Public Key Infrastructure(PKI) and Extranet Access Management(EAM) are going to be adopted." said a person concerned in KIPO.

By introducing the system, KIPO is expecting:
- diversifying types of working,
- enhancing productivity,
- improving flexibility in examination works,
- attracting those talented, etc.
